Naruto Volume 33, Chapter 298
This is one of the nice parts in the recent Naruto manga. There's a lot of emphasis on how the survival of Konoha village is dependent on the next generation rising up to surpass the previous one. Sounds familiar!
Actually the entire Shikamaru/Asuma storyline (not part of this excerpt) is really really nice. Character development for Shikamaru (hello favourite character no. 2!) is awesome. And well, sure...Naruto's getting more powerful. Yay Naruto.
